A man has been crushed to death in the back of a garbage truck near the Gold Coast.
It's understood he was undertaking repairs at the time of the incident that occurred near the Pacific Motorway at Stapylton on Tuesday morning.
Police were notified of a person trapped in the rear of a garbage truck at 10:20am.
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland confirmed the man died as a result, and officers are now investigating.
