A man has been charged with murder after death of a 75-year-old man in a Brisbane unit.
Sreeram Rajgokul Palaniswamy's matter was mentioned in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday after his arrest the previous day.
He is charged with murdering Palaniswamy Lakshmanan whose body was found at a unit in Alfred Street, Fortitude Valley on November 12.
Police established a crime scene when officers received the results of a post-mortem conducted after the 75-year-old man was found with fatal injuries.
Police said the men were known to each other but would not confirm their relationship.
Palaniswamy was remanded in custody to appear in the same court on Monday.
He was unable to apply for bail due to the serious nature of the charges.
