Queensland's health minister says she's not aware of a review of workplace culture at a major public hospital but welcomes such a probe at the facility.
An inquiry into Caboolture Hospital, north of Brisbane, found at least one preventable death occurred there due to surgical negligence between 2015 and 2020.
The report, handed down in November, said a "negative workplace culture and destabilised governance structure" could be putting safety at risk.
Health minister Yvette D'Ath says she's unaware there has been a probe into culture at the hospital but says she supports the idea.
"I'm happy to get more information about any external review that's happening at the Caboolture Hospital right now," she told parliament on Thursday.
"As the member would know, it is important that we ensure we do do external reviews and that any concerns (are) addressed at the hospital and health service level."
Asked if the review of culture would be publicly released, the minister said it was a matter for the Caboolture Hospital and Health Service board.
Her comments come as the government deals with the fallout from a report into malpractice and cultural problems at Mackay Hospital in the state's north.
Four clinicians and another staff member have resigned and been referred to the ombudsman after being mentioned in the report, which found inadequate care at the facility contributed to the deaths of three babies.
The report, released last month, also found problems with incident monitoring, management of safety and quality complications and clinical deterioration at the facility between 2019 and 2021.
The report was ordered last year after female patients complained about complications from caesareans and alleged they had been harmed by clinicians.
Almost 100 women told investigators they had been neglected, hadn't had their problems resolved, didn't receive a follow-up appointment, were left in pain or were discharged back to GPs.
Some 26 cases fell below expected medical standards resulting in personal injury or harm, the report found.
The Mackay Hospital board has until Friday to respond to a show cause notice about how it can effectively discharge its duties and obligations and why its members should not be dismissed.
