Broncos QB Russell Wilson meeting with Steelers today

A report came out on Thursday that Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson was meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of free agency and today is that day.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed that Wilson is on a flight to Pittsburgh to visit the Steelers.

Although Wilson will remain a Bronco until free agency starts on March 13, an unofficial agreement could happen before then.

According to Adam Schefter, Wilson flew out of Newark Airport after an “exploratory meeting” with the New York Giants. Schefter’s report also states that more meetings are expected, including with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Wilson, who threw for 28 touchdowns to just eight interceptions in 15 games in 2023, is in high demand. He’ll have plenty of options given no team has to compensate Denver and the Broncos owe Wilson $39 million this season.
