QB Bubba Chandler commits to Clemson. He details his decision for Tigers.

Less than 10 days ago, Bubba Chandler was committed to play baseball at Georgia. Now he's a member of Clemson football's 2021 recruiting class.

Chandler committed to Clemson on Wednesday, announcing his decision on Twitter. He was offered by the Tigers earlier this month and needed less than two weeks to make his decision. Chandler decommitted from Georgia baseball on May 11 before committing to Clemson on Wednesday.

"I know where I want to go. I feel like it'd be a great fit. There's really no better place to do it than Clemson University," Chandler told The State. "After all these Zoom calls and FaceTime calls, I just feel like I would be walking into an atmosphere that would treat me like their son or just straight family. They'd love me from the first day I got there until the day I left."

Chandler was unranked as a football recruit by 247Sports and Rivals before receiving an offer from Clemson on May 7.

He is now rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 25 pro-style quarterback in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings that factor in all ratings.

Chandler has picked up offers from Miami, Louisville, Washington State and Ole Miss since being offered by Clemson.

The Georgia native described the last couple of weeks as "crazy."

"It's pretty scary,if I'm going to be honest," Chandler said of how fast the process moved. "But at the same time God blessed me with the ability to do the things I can do. I really just want to make the good Lord proud, I guess, for blessing me."

Chandler will join a talented quarterbacks room at Clemson, even with Trevor Lawrence expected to leave after this upcoming season for the NFL.

The Tigers signed the No. 2 QB in the country for the class of 2020 in five-star prospect D.J. Uiagalelei. Chandler will also be battling for playing time with a four-star quarterback for the class of 2019 in Taisun Phommachanh. But Chandler insists he isn't afraid of competition.

"I love competing. I'm the most competitive kid on this earth. You can literally put me playing a game of chess and I'll do everything I can to win," Chandler said. "I really just can't wait to get up there and try to compete for a starting spot the day I get up."

Chandler is also planning to play baseball at Clemson for head coach Monte Lee, and he could have a decision to make next summer in regards to the MLB Draft.

Chandler could opt to sign to play professional baseball out of high school, depending on how the draft unfolds.

"First and foremost, my biggest goal is to get drafted out of high school. I'm not trying to sound cocky or anything but I know I'll get drafted next year if I stay healthy, stay on the track I am," Chandler said. "But it depends on where. I feel like I could get my stock up to a first or second round draft pick. But it's not really about the pick or where I'm at. It's more about the money I'm going to get. I have a number in my head, the money I want to get, that would make me not go to college."

Chandler is the second prospect to commit to Dabo Swinney's program in as many days, joining four-star linebacker Barrett Carter, who committed to Clemson on Tuesday.

"I could visit Clemson a million times and before each visit I'll get butterflies before. I think that feeling just can't go unnoticed with a school, so that's why," Carter told Fox 5 Atlanta.

Carter is ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 56 overall player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is listed as the No. 4 outside linebacker in the nation.
