QAnon promoter Marjorie Taylor Greene wins Georgia congressional seat

QAnon is in the House.

Marjorie Taylor Greene won the race for Georgia's 14th Congressional District on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.

The Republican businesswoman defeated Democrat Kevin Van Ausdal.

She gained national notice for outlandish statements like arguing the deadly 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, was "an inside job."

The comments were rooted in the QAnon conspiracy cult that believes a secret war between good and evil is playing out behind closed doors, with President Donald Trump fighting to save humanity from "deep state" masterminds.

Trump has called Greene a "rising star" of the Republican Party.

Over the summer, she began to distance herself from QAnon, saying it "wasn't part of my campaign," according to CNN.
