West Region Junior chiefs have applied to form a West of Scotland League.
The bombshell news was sent to clubs this morning as pressure to form a new league to join the pyramid grows.
And now it looks like the West Region are fully on board with the idea.
A statement to clubs said: "Following on from the West Junior FA statement of yesterday, February 28.
"We would further confirm that the WJFA have made an application to the Scottish FA to form a West of Scotland League for season 2020/21.
"This proposal has been acknowledged by the governing body.
"As stated previously we have a number of measures in place and the implementation of those will commence in due course as we ensure our inclusion within the Scottish FA pyramid structure."
