Puzzle this: Kodak is selling the world’s largest jigsaw

Staying in is the new going out, well, at least as long as we’re on lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and indoor activities have never been so en vogue.

Jigsaw puzzles and boardgames are the new nighttime activity of choice, an easy way to keep you and your quarantined household entertained for an evening - but Kodak has just dropped the world’s largest puzzle, guaranteeing hours (and hours) of occupied time.

The puzzle clocks in at a whopping 51,300 pieces, weighs 18.5 kilograms and will cover a 16.47 square metre area once complete - and it doesn’t come cheap, retailing at $500 (£400).

The Kodak puzzle is made up of 27 individual puzzles that need to be figured out separately and then worked together, each puzzle showing one of the ‘wonders of the world’ - from the Eiffel Tower to London’s Tower Bridge and the Chureito Pagoda in Japan.

Kodak says: “Each photo was initially taken by a professional photographer, then digitally enhanced and printed in high quality.”

While we can’t find any UK stockists of the puzzle, Puzzle Warehouse in the US ships internationally.

It said of the puzzle: “These are the brightest, richest, most colourful puzzles yet from Kodak, known for the highest quality imagery and brilliant photography.

“Each of the 27 individual puzzles are bagged separately. Box includes a large reference poster, information about each location and helpful instructions and tips.

“Perfect for a group/family project or the ultimate gift for the wanderlust traveller in your life.”
