Putting Tom Brady’s Super Bowl wins and apperances in further perspective

The Super Bowl may be over, but for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, the partying is just beginning.

One year after losing a 41-33 shootout to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, the Patriots rebounded by winning the lowest-scoring game in Super Bowl history this year against the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3.

With the win, Brady and Belichick now have an unprecedented six Super Bowl titles together, cementing their places as the greatest quarterback and coach in the history of the game.

While you’d be hard pressed to find anyone willing to argue against Brady’s place as the best to every play the game, here’s another way to look at his Super Bowl wins and appearances to further prove his greatness.

Brady has the exact same number of Super Bowl wins and appearances as Peyton Manning (2-2), Ben Roethlisberger (2-1), Drew Brees (1-0) and Aaron Rodgers (1-0) combined. Those four quarterbacks have a 6-3 record in the Super Bowl, the same as Brady.

So, if you want to keep saying Rodgers is the best, let’s remember that he’s still only been to one Super Bowl. Unless he can add another ring or two to his resume, he’ll just be another great regular season quarterback.

After all, he has the exact same number of rings as Joe Flacco (yay!).
