Put your questions to Bristol Mayor and city leaders at Question Time event

Bristolians are invited to put their questions to city leaders on anything from transport to the economy.

Bristol Live and Bristol City Council has teamed up to organise the Bristol Question Time series.

The events will see the mayor Marvin Rees sit down with other city leaders to discuss a range of issues which affect the city and the people living here.

Members of the public will be invited to attend and ask questions of the panelists.

The first panel discussion takes place at City Hall on Thursday, July 11 from 7pm to 8.15pm.

Hosted by Bristol Live and Bristol Post editor Mike Norton, it will focus on transport, public health and Bristol’s economy.

Mr Rees will be joined on the panel by managing director of First West England, James Freeman, director of Public Health at Bristol City Council Christina Grey and CEO of Bristol Chamber of Commerce and West of England Initiative at Business West, James Durie.

The event is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend.

It will be guided by audience questions which need to be submitted in advance.

Speaking about the series Mr Norton said: "The Question Time series is a great opportunity for Bristolians to put their questions to city leaders and to find out what plans lie ahead for our city.

“I’m looking forward to hearing Bristolians give their views on the issues which affect the city."

Mr Rees said the events would be “positive and forward-looking, focused on highlighting ideas and solutions for our city”.

He added: “Given the knowledge and experience of the panelists, the conversation will be as insightful as it is interesting.
