Pusha T has claimed that a gig he performed in Toronto was sabotaged by Drake fans after attendees rushed the stage.
The rapper’s performance at the city’s Denforth Music Hall was halted after several crowd members jumped security and stormed the stage, an incident which reportedly led to a physical altercation.
According to Pitchfork, three people were sent to the hospital in connection with the incident, however, a statement from the Toronto Police Department seems to confirm Pusha T evaded the threat.
Footage from the event seems to show the rapper retreating backstage as his security attack the stage rushers.
He returned to perform diss track “Infrared” which features shots at Canadian rapper Drake. Later, Pusha T told the crowd people had been “paid” to throw beer ad water at him.
While unconfirmed, the incident is said to be tied to their well-documented rivalry. The two stars have feuded for years, with things coming to a head earlier this year when Pusha T released the track “The Story of Adidon” on which he brought to light that Drake had a secret child.
Drake recently claimed that Kanye West was the most likely candidate to have revealed the sensitive information to Pusha T, something that has since been refuted.
Earlier this month, revellers at Pusha T’s set during the Camp Flog Gnaw – the festiv from Tyler the creator – spotted the phrase “F*** Drake” on the screen behind him. Pusha T later claimed he didn’t sanction the words and blamed a “corny tech dude” for the “error”.
