A man has been dramatically arrested outside Waratah Shopping Village following a pursuit through suburban Newcastle.
The 25-year-old was taken to Waratah Police Station, where he is helping officers with their inquiries.
The Newcastle Herald understands the man will be charged on Tuesday night.
The pursuit through Waratah ended at Georgetown Road, near the intersection of Turton Road, about 5.45pm.

The chase began after checks revealed the man was wanted by police.
It finished when the vehicle the 25-year-old was driving broke down.
The NSW Police dog squad helped general duties and highway patrol officers detain the man near the busy intersection.
