Purse snatcher throws woman to ground in NW Side robbery

A woman was robbed Thursday in Kelvin Park on the Northwest Side.
The 48-year-old was standing near her vehicle about 7 a.m. in the 3000 block of North Keating Avenue when someone grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground, according to Chicago police.
The male suspect grabbed her purse and ran, police said. Multiple bystanders chased him, but he got away.
No injuries were reported, according to police. Area North detectives are investigating.
