So the purple pod mystery deepens... the pods are developing a violet tinge, with beans inside a glorious steel blue. But never grown a 'drying' bean before and till now been eating them green. So again my question for the real seeders and experienced growers out there: are our Cherokee Trail of Tears best left on the plant till they darken and dry? For how long? Would also like to save seed so advice on this very welcome. Plus, wondering if anyone has recipes that will work well?
