Another Liverpool school was forced to send pupils home to self-isolate until the end of term.
Parents and carers of some Year Six pupils at Blackmoor Park Junior School in West Derby were asked to come and collect their children as soon as possible this afternoon.
In a text sent to parents and seen by the ECHO, the school said a pupil in a Year Six class had tested positive for coronavirus.

This means all pupils in that bubble must now self-isolate for 10 days, however term ends on Friday, July 16 which means children in this group will not return to school until after the summer holidays.
The message said: "Could parents please collect children from [this Year 6 class] as soon as possible.
"There has been a child with a positive test. [The class] now need to isolate. Please collect children from the staff car park and children will come directly from the classroom. Many thanks."
The ECHO approached Blackmoor Park Junior School for comment.
It comes just 24 hours after Education Secretary Gavin Williamson confirmed that school bubbles and isolation will come to an end in England when the country moves to stage four of the roadmap on July 19.
He said schools will no longer use the bubbles and isolation system, and instead students or schools will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace where necessary.
Mr Williamson says the current system is "causing disruption" to children's education and the nation "owes a great depth of gratitude to parents, pupils and teachers".
He added that while England is "moving into a new phase of managing COVID", it would "not be acceptable [children] should face greater restrictions".
