Tory claims to have increased school spending have been exposed by figures showing pupils get less than five years ago.
Spending per pupil fell 7.5% in Theresa May’s Maidenhead constituency, data from the House of Commons library shows.
It also dropped 5.7% in Education Secretary Damian Hinds’ East Hampshire constituency.
School budgets were at “breaking point”, the NAHT headteachers’ union heard at its conference in Telford, Shrops.
Members voted against staff redundancies but in favour of industrial action to fight the cuts.

Angela Rayner, Shadow Education Secretary, said: “Despite the Tories’ promises ... they have slashed budgets for the first time in a generation.”
The Mirror has highlighted how schools have begged parents for cash.
The Department of Education said the budget “is rising from £41billion in 2017-18 to a record £43.5bn by 2019-20”.
