Children at a Stirling primary school have returned to remote learning following a Covid outbreak.
Pupils in P1-3 at Braehead Primary, as well as youngsters at Braehead Nursery, will be home schooled this week following a number of positive coronavirus cases linked to the school.
The school said the decision was taken as a “precautionary measure”.
Headteacher Loraine Dollard wrote to parents on Sunday to notify them of the decision. In the communication she said: ‘Following a number of coronavirus cases which have been identified within the school community, we can confirm that all nursery and P1-3 children and Braehead Nursery and Primary School will return to remote learning as of Monday, March 8, to Friday, March 12.
‘This precautionary measure has been taken to further protect the school community and follows discussions with Stirling Council, Public Health Scotland and the Scottish Government.
‘P4-7 children will continue with remote learning.
‘In-school learning will continue to be available for vulnerable children and the children of key workers.
‘We are confident that this proactive decision will enable the school to continue to deliver education in line with existing government timelines.’

A Stirling Council spokesperson confirmed the move to remote learning and added: “All parents and carers have been contacted and in-school learning will continue to be available for vulnerable children and the children of key workers.
“P4-7 children will continue with remote learning.”
Youngsters in P1-3 and the nursery returned to the classroom on Monday, February 22, for the first time this year.
Schools had been closed to pupils since Scotland was plunged back in to lockdown on Boxing Day.
Last week, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed plans for Stirling remaining primary school pupils to return to classroom learning by March 15 as part of the latest lockdown easing measures.
All secondary pupils will also return for some in-person teaching before the Easter break, ahead of a full restart after the holidays.
The priority for secondary pupils will be given to senior phase pupils sitting their national qualifications this summer.
