Youngsters were given a special homework task when their County Durham school was closed for a snow day.
More than 150 school were shut across the county after snow hit the North East on Monday morning.
Head teacher Jane Davis set pupils at Lanchester EP Primary School a very special challenge on their extra day off - to have fun.
Taking to Twitter, Ms Davis asked parents to share pictures of their children having fun in the snow, and it could be anything from sledging, snowballing or building a snow sculpture.
The youngsters didn't disappoint, with impressive videos, sculptures - including a snow unicorn - and snow angels all being made.
Ms Davis said: "These are all things every child should experience and we had a brilliant response from the parents.
"They had the opportunity to share all of the photos and everything they had done during the day.
"It is not the ideal decision to make, to close the school, but the parents were very supportive.
"Parents got really involved in the Twitter challenge. I thought it was really quite special.
"It was wonderful to see the children outdoors as well, rather than being stuck on their tablets or in front of the TV.
"It gave them the opportunity, joy and freedom of being children."
The challenge has also caught the eye of other schools across the country and they quickly set their own challenges.
"We have had an incredible response from people all over the country," Ms Davis said. "There were 128 likes on Twitter."
