Punters in Co Meath are being urged to check their tickets after a €500,000 EuroMillions prize was sold in Navan.
The lucky Lotto player matched all five numbers to scoop the top prize in the secondary plus draw.
And staff at Day Today News in the Johnstown Shopping Centre were celebrating on Wednesday after learning they sold the golden ticket.
Padraig Lonergan, who co-owns the store with Philip Keegan, said: “It’s the first time we have sold a major National Lottery prize winning ticket in our 15 years of business so we can’t wait to spread the news to our customers.
"Most of our trade is from the local area and more so since the current health restrictions, so I’d guess it is a Navan local.
"However I’ve no idea who it could be but whoever the winner is, I hope the €500,000 brings them a lot of happiness."
The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers for the draw were: 03, 08, 09, 19 and 49.
The ticket was sold on Tuesday, the day of the draw.
Meanwhile, there was no winner of the €48,838,406 jackpot, meaning this Friday's top prize will be an estimated €55million.
A National Lottery spokesman added: “It’s a lovely bit of news for someone in Navan to get so we are calling on anyone who bought their EuroMillions tickets in Day Today News in Johnstown Shopping Centre yesterday to check those tickets.
"If you are the winner of this €500,000 please sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
"We have also extended the period of time that winners can collect prizes to encourage people to stay at home and not require them to make any unnecessary journeys during the current public health emergency."
