Punjab zoos to reopen from July 20

CHANDIGARH: Punjab forests and wildlife preservation department has announced reopening of Chhatbir Zoo and four small zoos in Ludhiana, Bathinda, Patiala and Neelon from July 20 with strict adherence to Covid protocol.

Chhatbir Zoo in Mohali district would be opened to the public six days a week and would remain closed on Monday. Entry for visitors will be allowed from 9.30am to 4.30pm to ensure optimal carrying capacity, staggered entry and social distancing. Visitors will be allowed in three slots.

Only a limited number of timed tickets will be available in different slots till normalcy is restored and tickets will be valid only for two hours after entry.
