Punjab reports 119 Covid-19 cases, 5 deaths

CHANDIGARH: As many as five people infected with Covid-19 died while 119 fresh cases surfaced in Punjab on Monday.

The daily test positivity further dropped to 0.36%. In the last 24 hours, one death each was reported in Amritsar, Barnala, Kapurthala, Mansa and Tarn Taran.

A total of 24 people were tested positive in Ludhiana while 15 fresh cases were reported in Jalandhar, 13 in Bathinda, 12 in Muktsar, nine in Fatehgarh Sahib, six in Amritsar, five in Hoshiarpur, four each in Faridkot, Kapurthala, Pathankot, Patiala, and Tarn Taran, three in Mohali, two each in Fazilka, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur and Sangrur and one each in Barnala, Mansa, Moga and Ropar.

In the ongoing vaccination drive, 189,160 people were vaccinated of which 115,794 received the first dose and 73,366 were given the second dose.
