CHANDIGARH: Cabinet minister Sangat Singh Gilzian, who is contesting the Assembly elections to retain his Urmur Tanda constituency, on Friday released a report card of the developmental works carried out in the constituency during the last five years.
Gilzian’s son Daljit Singh, who is the party spokesperson, said apart from the initiatives taken in the constituency, the announcements of the Congress government had also been listed in the report card. Meanwhile, with the focus on digital campaign this time, a campaign song video had also been created to woo the younger lot of voters.
In 2017, Gilzian won the seat by defeating Arbinder Singh Rasulpur from Shiromani Akali Dal with a margin of 14,954 votes.
Some other sitting Congress MLAs, including Speaker Rana KP Singh have also released campaign songs on their social media recently.
