LUDHIANA: Additional deputy commissioner (urban development) Sandeep Kumar on Friday warned of strict action against anyone indulging in developing illegal residential colonies in Ludhiana district of Punjab.

He has urged people to get licences from Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) if they want to carry out their businesses in a hassle-free manner.

The ADC (UD) on Friday visited two such colonies in Threeke area and stopped the ongoing construction activity in these residential colonies.

In a press statement, Sandeep Kumar said that such people can apply for their licences with GLADA and assured that they would be issued in a hassle-free manner.
