Punjab and Haryana high court reserves order in case of floor-wise sale of properties

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court, on Thursday, reserved its order in the ongoing matter related to floor-wise sale of properties in the city.

After the arguments of the petitioners and the respondents, the high court reserved its judgement for final order.

The UT administration had submitted before the HC that no NOC was issued mentioning floor of property. On the HC directions, the UT had submitted an affidavit of assistant estate officer (AEO) Harjeet Singh Sandhu.

“The estate office does not issue NOC mentioning a particular floor. No such NOC mentioning floor on the basis of share of owner/ co-owner was issued by the estate office as per records except ones which may have been issued on the basis of registered sale deeds executed while Chandigarh Apartment Rules, 2001, were in vogue,” the affidavit read.
