CHANDIGARH: Five persons died while 42 fresh cases of Covid-19 surfaced in Punjab on Monday. Three persons died in Tarn Taran and one each in Patiala and Sangrur.
In Jalandhar, nine persons tested positive, five in Amritsar, three each in Pathankot, Sangrur, Tarn Taran and Patiala, two each in Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Muktsar and Ropar and one each in Barnala, Bathinda, Fatehgarh Sahib and Nawanshahr.
As many as 24,380 people were vaccinated, of whom 13,622 received the first dose and 10,758 received the second.
