Pune: Man beaten to death at Phugewadi

PUNE: A 70-year-old caretaker of an under-construction building at Phugewadi was found bludgeoned to death on Thursday morning.

The Bhosari police have identified the deceased as Ramanna Kadgi, originally from Karnataka.

Inspector Jitendra Kadam of the Bhosari police said that Kadgi was the caretaker of an under-construction building located near Phugewadi Metro station.

The construction work of the building had stopped for the past few years. “On Thursday, Kadgi was found bludgeoned to death with a big stone. The reason behind the murder was not known,” Kadam said.
