PUNE: A 12-year-old boy on Thursday afternoon found dead hanging from a tree near Annasaheb Magar stadium in Pimpri.
An officer from the Pimpri police told TOI that the boy had gone for playing with his friends near the stadium. "Around 12.30pm, his friends informed the boy's parents that, their son had hanged himself to the tree with a saree," the officer said.
The boy's parents took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the doctors. "The boy was studying at his native village in Osmanabad district. However, due to lockdown, he had come to Pimpri to stay with his parents and was attended the school online," the officer said.
