Pundits unanimously predict Arsenal's Premier League clash with Bournemouth

Arsenal's young contingent put Standard Liege to the sword in the Europa League on Thursday night, leaving many of the starlets banging on Unai Emery's door.

With the pressure coming from those players, the challenge for the senior members of the squad is to improve in order to retain their starting spots.

Ahead of the second international break of the season, the Gunners have the perfect opportunity to lay down a marker to build upon by beating Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.

While the Cherries can prove to be a difficult opponent, particularly with their attacking players, a trio of respected pundits all agree that Arsenal will have no problems in the match. You can see what they have had to say below.

Michael Owen - Arsenal win (BetVictor)

Arsenal were good value for their point at Old Trafford on Monday and I expect them to brush aside the challenge of Bournemouth back at the Emirates on Sunday.

The Gunners only defeat so far this season came at Anfield although they must improve defensively if they are to return to the Champions League automatically at the end of the season.

'Martinelli has shown us he's hungry' says Emery

Mark Lawrenson - 2-0 Arsenal ( BBC )

Arsenal were pretty awful against Manchester United on Monday but they will look at a draw at Old Trafford as being a good point, regardless of United's current position.

Bournemouth have made a bright start to the season but I don't look at this game as one where they will expect to get anything - they have not picked up a point in four previous visits to the Emirates, and I don't think that run will end this weekend.

Yes, the Cherries will have chances, but Arsenal are going to have a lot of the ball and they have the quality in their attack to make it count.

Charlie Nicholas - 3-1 Arsenal ( Sky Sports )

This is a game I expect Arsenal to go and win. Bournemouth are ticking along nicely and will play on the counter-attack, but they don't tend to get results on the road away at the big sides.

But with Arsenal's defence is still very fragile, this is another dangerous game for the Gunners. They should just have enough to get the win, but then again if Arsenal are one thing, they are surprising.
