Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to get their Champions League campaign back on track against Bayern Munich tonight.
After being beaten in last season's final by Liverpool in Madrid, Mauricio Pochettino's side kicked off their group campaign with a disappointing 2-2 draw against Olympiacos.
Goals from Harry Kane and Lucas Moura put Spurs in total control inside the opening half-an-hour, but the Greek side fought back either side of half-time to claim a point.
While the German giants kicked off their own European campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win over Crvena Zvezda on Matchday One, and currently sit top of the Bundesliga with a one point lead over RB Leipzig.
But the despite the contrast in form, pundits are predicting a close game at the Lane.
Charlie Nicholas - Sky Sports - 2-2 draw
I did the Tottenham game at the weekend and again they were unconvincing. Hugo Lloris' gaffe gave Southampton a route back into the game but his superhero antics got him out of a hole.
Harry Kane was clinical again and does what he does but Christian Eriksen looked so out of sorts. Mauricio Pochettino seemed as if he might have lost the dressing room but the Saints game was a springboard victory for Tottenham with 10 men.
Bayern Munich are not as good as they once were and you can get at them - they rely heavily on Robert Lewandowksi. Philippe Coutinho got his first goal at the weekend and ex-Arsenal man Serge Gnabry is performing well but I'm going for a draw.
This will be a result that Tottenham will be happy with.
Michael Owen - BetVictor - draw
Spurs meet Bayern Munich in competitive competition for the first time in 35 years at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what promises to be a wonderful occasion.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side showed their resilience to beat Southampton with 10-men for most of the game at the weekend, but I feel they will have to settle for a point midweek against a Bayern side who again top the Bundesliga table.
Spurs let slip a two-goal lead in Athens on Matchday One, but they have won their last four games against German opposition – all versus Borussia Dortmund – in the Champions League.
Bayern top the group table after their 3-0 win at home to Crvena Zvezda and a draw wouldn’t be a bad result for the Bavarian giants in London.
