Pundits predict outcome of Burnley vs Chelsea - and it's bad news for Frank Lampard

Chelsea made it an impressive six-game winning streak with their 1-0 win over Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Blues now return to Premier League action with a trip to Burnley on Saturday night.

A win for Frank Lampard's side will possibly see them climb into the top-three in the league but it seems that pundits aren't so confident about the Blues chances.

Mark Lawrenson - BBC Sport - 1-1 draw

Chelsea are on a great run of six straight wins, with the best of the lot coming over Ajax on Wednesday.

Well done to Blues boss Frank Lampard, who has already put a stamp on his team after only 14 games in charge, but a trip to Turf Moor is a very different test for his young side.

I am going to go for a draw here, because you know what you are going to get from Burnley. Unlike, say, West Ham, the Clarets' performance level does not seem to change week on week.

You don't see Sean Dyche's side play well, then badly, and even on a bad day they hang in there and make it very difficult for the opposition.

Michael Owen - Betvictor - match to finish in a draw

Chelsea started with five English players against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard’s side made it five successive wins in all competitions on Saturday.

Burnley went down 2-1 at the King Power Stadium last time out, but they were unbeaten in their previous four games and I think they will get a draw back at Turf Moor with the Blues facing a difficult-looking trip to Amsterdam in the Champions League midweek.

Charlie Nicholas - Sky Sports - Burnley win 2-1

Chelsea have been more consistent than I thought what with the shift of Frank Lampard coming in and everything that came with it.

In essence, it was clear-cut with the transfer situation. If Tammy Abraham scores he stays in the team and for me, Mason Mount is good enough to stay in the side.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has signed a new contract and so will feature, Willian is back in good form and Jorginho has been great. Fikayo Tomori is also playing well, but I am not sure whether the Chelsea centre-backs have a partnership to cope with Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood when they get the service that they do.

If there is an upset of the weekend then I am looking at this match. The Burnley style may not be attractive to some people but it is so effective.
