Former Liverpool pair Michael Owen and Mark Lawrenson have backed Leeds United to emerge victorious in Sunday's FA Cup third-round tie against Crawley Town.
The Whites are looking to advance into the next round for the first time in four seasons and have a poor record in the competition, advancing past the third round in just three occasions in the past decade.
However, against League Two opposition, Leeds are ranked as strong favourites for tomorrow's clash - but will need to be wary of an upset.
Crawley, sat sixth in League Two and enjoying a fine unbeaten streak, can pose a threat but the two pundits believe Leeds won't have an issue.
“Leeds are on their travels as they visit Crawley Town. These are the types of matches where you need to be on your toes," he told BetVictor.
“Any small mistakes early on and nerves can really make it difficult. That said, Leeds are a very good side.
“I don’t see Marcelo Bielsa deviating from his usual game plan, and if his players are in the mood, I think they’ll come away with an easy win.”
Owen's assessment was backed by former Liverpool man Mark Lawrenson, who has predicted a 2-0 victory for Leeds.
"The fact there are no replays adds a bit more jeopardy to all of these ties, but there is extra time before penalties and if Premier League sides can't beat lower-league opposition after two hours, then they don't deserve a second chance.
"Leeds will have to watch out for prolific Crawley striker Max Watters, but they have enough goal power of their own to get through that tie."
