Pundit uses Nottingham Forest star to send Jude Bellingham & Man United transfer warning

Radio pundit Simon Jordan has used Nottingham Forest midfielder John Bostock to make a point about Birmingham City starlet Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham is one of English football's hottest prospects, with Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund rumoured to be interested in the 16-year-old.

However, Jordan has cited the story of Bostock as a reason why Bellingham should choose his next club carefully.

Bostock arrived at Forest in the summer on loan from Toulouse.

Forest is Bostock's 11th club of his career, counting loans, with Crystal Palace his first.

Bostock was lured away from Selhurst Park by Tottenham Hotspur back in 2008 with the White Hart Lane side taken to tribunal by Palace who wanted compensation.

Jordan was Palace's owner at the time and is wary of Bellingham making a similar move after his experience with Bostock.

“I’m not sure about this,” Jordan told talkSPORT.

“A young player of 16 years old, I know he’s prodigious talent and I know people are talking about him in the same way they talked about Wayne Rooney.

“But I had a kid at Crystal Palace who was talked about in this fashion called John Bostock, who made a move to a supposedly bigger club at that time in Tottenham, against the advice of most of the sensible people around him.

“He didn’t play for Harry (Redknapp), his career has gone to the left field and he’s now coming back into English football with Nottingham Forest 10 or 12 years after the event.”
