Pundit makes 'huge' Nottingham Forest comment ahead of Sheffield United clash

Nottingham Forest will have the chance to move higher up the table when they welcome Sheffield United to the City Ground (7:45pm kick-off).

The Blades are currently a place above Forest in 17th but level on 18 points.

A Forest win this evening (November 2) will see Steve Cooper's side move above their opposition, and a familiar face has backed them to do so.

Sky Sports pundit and former Reds midfielder David Prutton thinks his old side will seal their second home win of the campaign.

"That was a huge point for Nottingham Forest at QPR on Friday night," he wrote on his Sky Sports column. "Suddenly it puts an entirely different spin on a week that could have seen them reeling from back-to-back defeats."

The Reds have secured a total of 14 points out of a possible 21 thus far, after four wins, two draws and a defeat since Cooper's arrival.

Slavisa Jokanovic's men, however, come from a disappointing home defeat to Blackpool last weekend and have had a mix of results thus far.

"Sheffield United, as I've said before, just cannot build any momentum this season," Prutton added.

"They were expected to be right up there in terms of automatic promotion, but with the form of the top sides that already looks out of reach. I think it could be another defeat here for them, too."

Prutton prediction: 2-0 to Forest.
