Pundit highlights Pep Guardiola change that has caused difficulty for Manchester United striker

Pundit Danny Mills believes Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku would struggle to get into other top six teams, amid uncertainty about his future.

Lukaku has been linked with a move from United to Internazionale, with incoming boss at the Serie A side Antonio Conte believed to be keen on signing the striker.

The Belgian endured a difficult campaign with United, failing to score in his finale eight games of the campaign following a vital brace in the 3-1 comeback win at Paris Saint Germain.

And former Man City and Leeds United defender Mills told talkSPORT that the changes brought into the Premier League by managers like Pep Guaridola and Jurgen Klopp have made life more difficult for players like Lukaku. He argued that the 26-year-old wouldn't get into other top sides, not even his former club Everton.

“No I don’t think I would (take Lukaku back at Everton),” Mills said.

“The style of play has changed.

“When Romelu Lukaku was fantastic and at his best, two, three, four seasons ago, football was a little bit different.

“Since Guardiola has come in, since Klopp has come in, the way in which people play is a little bit different now.

“It doesn’t quite suit Romelu Lukaku as much. I don’t think he gets into the top six sides.”
