Pundit gives scathing view of Bristol City's performance in FA Cup draw with Shrewsbury Town

Stephen Warnock was so perplexed with Bristol City's poor performance against Shrewsbury Town that he did not know where to start.

The pundit was watching the Robins' 1-1 draw with the League One club in the FA Cup for BT Sport, and saw City take the lead through Famara Diedhiou before the visitors hit back in the second half through Sean Goss.

Shrewsbury then almost won the game after hitting the post, and Warnock was surprised at the below-par Robins.

He said: "I actually don’t know how to sum their performance up.

"They look tired, short of confidence tactically and all over the place.

"They’ve been dragged here there and everywhere by the formation of Shrewsbury.

"Shrewsbury look like the Championship team."

Speaking at full-time, Warnock was full of praise for Shrewsbury and said the Robins will not find it easy in the replay.

He said: "Sam Ricketts will be very pleased with his work.

"It’s a very good performance from them, they knock it round well. We talk about League One teams and how the pass the ball around, they did that really well.

"They have an organised shape, Lee Johnson will find it really difficult going there."
