Pundit delivers 'frightening' verdict on Manchester United ahead of Barcelona

Robbie Savage is expecting Manchester United to get 'shown up' as they take on Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final second leg on Tuesday night.

United arrive at the Nou Camp following a 1-0 defeat in the first leg and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has gone with an attacking line-up as they look to reach the semi-final next month.

Solskjaer has decided to play Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial against the Spanish champions as he looks for a repeat of their shock victory at PSG in the last round.

Sir Alex Ferguson chats with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of Barcelona Champions League fixture

Speaking on BBC 5 Live ahead of the game, Savage admitted that he thinks Man United could be exposed against the likes of Lionel Messi tonight.

He said: "Tonight could be the night this squad gets shown up.

"These players are fantastic because they play for Manchester United but when you look at that squad and the job Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to rebuild, it’s quite frightening.

"They could be exposed.

"Most of Man City’s second or third string players would start at Man United, and there are 12 or 13 players you could get rid of quite easily."
