Pundit claims 'big teams' will be monitoring Leeds United star Raphinha

Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison has claimed 'a lot of the big teams' will be monitoring Leeds United star Raphinha.

The Whites have not replicated the form they showed for much of the 2020/21 campaign but the 24-year-old has given supporters plenty to cheer about.

He has registered four goals in the Premier League already, winning caps for the Brazil national team and earning plaudits across the country.

However, Morrison has warned Leeds that there will be interest in their chief creator.

Speaking on Sky Sports' Gillette Soccer Saturday, he said: "He’s been their biggest difference all season. He’s an outstanding player.

"He’s one of those players I think can go and play for one of the top four teams. He’s got so much ability. He’s the difference-maker in this Leeds team.

"Norwich were in the game, and it was missing a real bit of quality in the game, and he’s the one, nine times out of 10, who always delivers for Leeds. I know they’ve got the likes of Phillips and Bamford – two really good players – but he’s the main man for me. He can go either way, he’s a Brazilian international now, and for me, he’s been an outstanding signing.

"A lot of the big teams will be looking at him.

Raphinha joined the club in October 2020 from French side Rennes and quickly established himself as one of Marcelo Bielsa's most trusted lieutenants.

He has been linked with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool and his agent, former Chelsea man Deco, admitted the Reds were admirers.

However, the winger remains on the books at Elland Road and notched in the win over Norwich City last week.

Morrison said: "Every time he gets on the ball, it’s composure. I always talk about him because I think he’s outstanding. What a brilliant signing he’s been.”
