Pundit calls for Leeds United's Tyler Robers to start against Huddersfield after brace against Hull City

Sky Sports pundit Keith Andrews believes Tyler Roberts deserves to start against Huddersfield next weekend.

The forward came off the bench to score twice in his side’s 4-0 win over Hull at the KCOM on Saturday afternoon.

Luke Ayling got an early opener for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, with Pablo Hernandez and two from Roberts completing the scoring in the second half.

And although Patrick Bamford was once again given the nod from the start, Andrews believes Roberts did enough off the bench to warrant a start next weekend.

“I’ve liked him and always liked him,” Andrews told Sky Sports post-match.

“His confidence must be through the roof now and he has to start the next game now.”

While former Whites forward Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Roberts is exactly what Leeds need.

“That’s what Leeds have been missing a little bit,” he said.

“Someone able to give them that little spark off the bench - and you need that if you are going to get promotion.

“He has got an eye for goal. Look, Bamford likes scoring goals as well. But at the moment he is very hungry.

“He is coming back from a big injury not having played a lot, and will be wanting to prove himself and I think that is what Leeds needs a little bit as well.”
