Punches thrown between players at Day 5 of Redskins training camp

It’s not officially training camp until a fight at practice breaks out.

Things got a bit testy on Tuesday morning, Day 5 of training camp for the Washington Redskins. A minor scuffle reportedly turned into a pretty sizeable mosh-pit as punches were thrown between players.

It came when either nose tackle Tim Settle or Jojo Wicker took exception with something that happened with guard Tyler Catalina. Settle reportedly dove at Catalina and decked him. A pile built up, punches were thrown, whistles blew and then it was over. Such is life in the NFL.

Obviously, it’s not ideal to have your own players punching each other in the face, but this early on in training camp it is not out of the ordinary for things to get heated with tensions rising. What matters is that nobody was seriously injured, and everyone remained teammates after the event.
