Pumped-up Rangers arrive at Hampden with 'Simply The Best' blaring from bus

It's a club tradition and Rangers are sticking with what works ahead of the Betfred Cup Final.

Tina Turner's 'Simply The Best' is an Ibrox anthem and is regularly chanted ahead of big games on home turf.

And it's also enjoyed by the players as well as the pumped-up current Rangers squad were looking ready to go as they entered the national stadium with the anthem at full blast as they exit their bus.

It's a tradition started by kit man Jimmy Bell and Steven Gerrard has been in no rush to change things up.

Record Sport pundit Chris Sutton filleted Pedro Caixinha after his side flopped in the semi-final stage in 2017 for having the tracking booming on arrival.

Sutton quipped at the time: "They won't be playing Tina Turner on the coach home!"

Meanwhile, Neil McCann is predicting a fast and frantic clash between the two rivals due to the slick surfaces.

He said: "It will make it a fast pitch which is what both teams actually want but the wind is swirling so you are looking at set-pieces becoming very very important.

"Without a doubt it will make it really difficult for goalkeepers to come out and collect crosses. It’s a brilliant surface for crossing the ball because the ball rolls out of your touch very very easily so you can set yourself quickly."
