Leeds United fans are ecstatic with the news that they will be promoted to the Premier League even if the season is curtailed.
A year ago, supporters were left heartbroken after losing to Derby County but their hopes of leaving the Championship look much stronger after the EFL's latest announcement.
The EFL have confirmed that league tables will be decided by an unweighted points-per-game system if the 2019/20 season is curtailed.
An EFL statement on Friday confirmed that: "In the event of a curtailment of the season, the EFL Board outlined how this could be addressed through a framework that includes maintaining the principle of promotion and relegation, league tables to be determined via unweighted points per game (PPG) and Play-Offs to remain in every division to determine the final promotion place."
That handed a welcome boost to Leeds United and West Brom, who have all-but been guaranteed a place in the Premier League for next season.
The Whites hold a seven-point gap over third-place Fulham whilst Slaven Bilic's men are just one point behind.
Based on average points, both clubs would remain in the top two and return to the top-flight of English football.
That has delighted Leeds supporters, who can now rest a little easier if the season isn't continued.
Here's a selection of their best responses on social media.
Whilst Championship clubs have reiterated their desire to finish the season, League One sides are split, whilst League Two voted to curtail their season on Friday.
