Pukka Chukka fun in Hua Hin

In an effort to boost sports tourism in Thailand, Hua Hin Beach was recently turned into an equestrian sand court for the InterContinental - B.Grimm Beach Polo 2023 event. The proceeds from the charity tournament will go to the Nabha Foundation in providing male and female inmates in prison with career opportunities and developing their athletic abilities to reintegrate back into their normal lives.

This year, the competition featured four equestrain teams from Thailand, Hong Kong, Belgium and Macau, who won and took home the Royal Trophy sponsored by HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha. During the event, there was a parade featuring representatives from the four countries and the opening ceremony was presided over by former deputy prime minister Suwat Liptapanlop, who served as a chairman of the tournament.

Visitors and art lovers also got a chance to participate in a charity auction featuring items crafted by renowned artists. A horse mask titled Sparkle Of The Bluish Black Horse created by Kanchai Homchan, a painted MCM bag by ML Jirathorn Jiraprawat and a vase painted by Taweechat Wiramwet were among highlights.

Following the afternoon race, InterContinental hosted a dinner party by the sea, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for athletes and distinguished guests. Designed around the theme of "White Gardens", fresh seafood, barbecue, various premium meat dishes and a variety of drinks were served on the lush lawn, while the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and jazz singer Areeya Rojanadit took to the stage for a concert.
