Sean ‘Puff Daddy’ Combs has claimed a row with his son’s football coach that allegedly involved a kettlebell was a simple "miscommunication", after admitting he still doesn't know if he is allowed to attend his son's games.
The rapper, who recently reverted back to Puff Daddy from P Diddy, was initially arrested on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, after an incident with his son’s football coach at University California Los Angeles. The LA District Attorney’s Office chose not file felony charges against him.
Appearing on Power 105's The Breakfast Club on Monday, he told his hosts that the altercation arose out of a communication issue with his son's coach.
"When you have a child that plays sports, you're actually giving your child up to those coaches," he said.

"You have to be able to take a lot. As a Combs, my sons, they have to be able to take a lot, you can't have no soft skin. But I think there's a fine line, too, and I think that there's times when you have to just communicate and find out what's going on and be by your children's side."
When a host held up a kettlebell and asked what it was, he replied: "That's a miscommunication".
At the time, Combs’ representatives said he was attempting to “protect himself and his son” and that his actions were “solely defensive in nature”.
