The number of active Covid-19 cases dropped below the 900-mark on Monday in the Union territory of Puducherry.
The territory reported 37 fresh Covid-19 cases even as 72 patients recovered in the last 24 hours ending at 10am on Monday bringing down the active cases to 866. Of them, 742 are under home isolation and treatment.
The territory did not report any Covid-19 deaths and the toll remained at 1,838.
Healthcare authorities have so far tested 17.77 lakh swab samples of which 15.08 lakh samples returned negative. They have so far administered 9.76 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine to the beneficiaries. They administered the first dose to 1,485 people and the second dose to 2,979 people on Sunday. They have so far administered the first dose to 6.82 lakh people and two doses to 2.93 lakh people.
