Public urged to have their say on condition of Glasgow's local authority roads

Public views are being sought on the condition of Glasgow’s local authority roads.

The Association of Public Service Excellence (APSE) is carrying out a satisfaction survey of residents, visitors and workers in Glasgow.

It wants to know how highly you value, and how satisfied you are, with pavements, footpaths, cycling facilities, roads and street lighting.

The survey also asks people’s level of satisfaction with how the council undertakes, and provides information on, gritting and snow clearance of roads and pavements.

APSE asks whether you are always aware of who is behind roadworks and how much notice you receive of any works.

It also wants to know how well roadworks are signposted and what you think of how long they take.

“Roadworks on local public, council adopted roads excluding trunk roads and motorways, are not always road maintenance schemes undertaken by the local council,” it states.

The consultation was launched on December 1 and will be open until December 24. The survey can be found on the council’s website.
