Public urged to be vigilant as concern grows for missing woman

Members of the public are being urged to be vigilant as concern grows for the welfare of a missing woman .

Police are re-appealing for help to find Uma Kulkarni, believed to be missing in the North Somerset or Bristol area. 

She was reported missing on April 3 from her home in Herefordshire.

She is thought to have travelled into the Avon and Somerset force area as her car – a bronze coloured Toyota Auris – was found near Aust Services near to the Severn Bridge crossing. 

Ms Uma is a 42-year-old Asian woman, 5ft tall of slim build. She has black hair and both her ears are pierced and she normally wears earrings.

It is not known what Ms Uma was wearing when she went missing.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "Concern is growing for her welfare because there has been no contact from her since she went missing. 

"We’re urging people living near to the Severn Bridge, North Somerset or Bristol to be vigilant and contact us if they see Uma. 

"We would like Uma - or anyone who sees her - to contact us, quoting reference 5219072484.
