March 02--Burbank residents will have an opportunity Wednesday night to weigh in on what qualities they want to see in a permanent city manager.
A public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in room 104 in the Community Services Building, 150 N. Third St., to allow community input during the recruiting process to fill the vacancy created when Mark Scott departed the city's top executive position in early February.

Appointed by the City Council, the city manager is responsible for administering the operations of the city, including its budget and staff.
The council has hired executive search firm Avery and Associates to identify candidates for the post and expects to begin accepting applications in April. Council members anticipate the process will take up to four months to find the right person for the job, according to a city statement.
Ron Davis, general manager of Burbank Water and Power, has been appointed interim city manager.
