Public react to Irish pub owner's genius way to order from the bar without leaving your seat

Since the beginning of the pandemic, people have missed their weekly outings to the pubs to meet with friends and have a bit of craic over a few drinks.

Thankfully, as things continue to reopen and restrictions continue to ease, a sense of normality has returned to our social lives.

But one thing many people have missed is having the freedom to order another round at the bar.

However, one pub in Belfast has come up with a solution and has been praised for creating a genius way to order pints at the bar without having to leave your seat.

Town SQ in Belfast has been praised for its innovative invention of putting wheels onto their tables to allow people to roll to the bar to place their orders without getting up.

In an Instagram post, they said: "New rules from Stormont being introduced 5pm Friday: You can now order at the bar, BUT you must remain seated whilst drinking inside.

“We know it’s confusing, but don’t worry – we’ve got you sorted! Introducing the new Town SQ wheelie tables #prototype”

The post was then flooded with comments from people who thought the invention was absolutely hilarious.

One user said: “Can imagine this at 12.30 on a Saturday night – be like bumper cars at Barry’s!”

Another said: "Mate this would be class till the bear hits that it all goes t**s up".

Others felt the new form of table is the perfect excuse for another staycation this year.

They said: “This alone is worth a trip to Belfast”.

But the function of the tables does not end there. Town SQ later posted an update on other tasks the tables can come in handy for.

They said: “Value cabs not picking up? Just order another round and we’ll tow you home! #onefortheroad #roadbears”.

The post hilariously showed a jeep towing a group of lads as they enjoyed a few cold ones on their way home from the bar.

Receiving another great reaction to the table on wheels, people couldn't help but crack up at the pub's antics.

One user said: “You guys are so funny”.

Another commented: “It gets better and better”.
