Leeds residents are being invited to discuss detailed proposals regarding the future of the area to the south of Leeds city centre.
The Leeds Sustainable Development Group is holding its second open meeting on Monday 29 November. While the first meeting in September focussed primarily on the Leeds South Bank area, which Leeds council has earmarked for redevelopment and a possible city centre park, the second meeting will focus on the wider area.
The meeting will start at 5.30pm and is being held at the Design Innovation Centre on The Calls.
Co-ordinator David Lumb said:
"Our first meeting was very well attended and the lively and thoughtful debate proved extremely helpful in the preparation of our letter in response to the council's Draft Planning Statement for the Leeds South Bank.
"I hope people will come along and contribute to the discussion which will centre on a longer vision for a wider area of Leeds City Centre South and also provide an opportunity to reflect on the outcomes of the City Centre Vision conference on 15 October.
"Our primary objective is to provide an independent, self sustaining, open and inclusive forum to enable everyone in Leeds to say what sort of place they want to live in, to put forward ideas and to participate in developing proposals and options at a stage in the planning process when it can make a real difference."
