The Public Health Agency has notified Ards and North Down Borough Council of a cluster of Covid-19 cases linked to the Culloden Hotel.
In correspondence sent to the council on Monday, seen by Belfast Live, the PHA confirmed it is managing a "significant number of cases related to a number of social events".
The PHA are now in contact with a "number of individuals" advising them to get a coronavirus test and to self-isolate.
Their advice read: "We do not comment on individual cases of COVID-19 or go into the detail of every incident that emerges, as this could lead to people being identified and could deter others with symptoms coming forward to be tested.
"We can confirm that PHA is managing a significant number of cases related to a number of social events. We are in contact with a number of individuals advising them to get a test and to self-isolate. We ask all those hosting, organising or attending such events to following the current regulations and public health guidance.
"The Public Health Agency’s Contact Tracing Service (CTS) is notified of all positive cases in Northern Ireland. As required, individuals testing positive and their close contacts will need to-isolate for a full period of 10 days. In addition, close contacts are asked to book a PCR test at a drive-through or walk-through site. For positive test results, Whole Genomic Sequencing (WGS) analysis allows identification of any Variant Of Concern (VOCs).
"We must be aware that COVID-19 is still a threat and we need everyone to play their part in helping to stop the virus spreading. Our advice remains the same – stick to guidelines and regulations, all adults aged 18 and over should get vaccinated and, in particular, ensure you and your close contacts follow the rules regarding self-isolation if you test positive."
Anyone who does test positive is encouraged to use the PHA’s digital contract tracing option, as this is the quickest way to alert close contacts.
Lisa Steele, General Manager of the Culloden Estate & Spa said: "As with all events held at the Culloden Estate, and across the Hastings Hotels group, we are completely compliant with the current government guidelines which are strictly followed at all times. We have rigorous operating procedures in place and our staff are fully trained to reflect this."
